“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.”Colossians 4:2  During the summer months disciple/members at Peace were invited to participate in the practice of “Intentional Prayer”. Each week we were given an opportunity to pick a slip of paper containing the name of a disciple/member at Peace from a prayer bowl located near the baptismal fount. The goal was to take a moment each day to intentionally pray for the person whose name one drew and in so doing, to become more mindful of the needs of our fellow disciples. With summer ending, you are invited to continue drawing names from the prayer bowl which will be located towards the back of the sanctuary. In addition to praying for one another, you might reach out to let the individual know that you are holding them in prayer. What a great way to get to know the other disciple/members at Peace and to build up the Body of Christ!

St. Paul writes in 1 Corinthians: Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is give the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. (1Cor 12:4-7)

Last Fall, you were invited to consider offering an “Estimate of Financial Giving” to support the mission and ministry of Peace Lutheran Church. As a follow up to the offering of our FINANCIAL GIFTS, the Stewardship Committee invites all disciple/members at Peace Lutheran to share your GIFTS of TIME and TALENTS with this congregation, so that we might build up the kingdom of God. Please print and complete the attached Stewardship Survey by clicking on the link below. Completed survey may be mailed, emailed, or dropped off in the church office.
